Matt Hagan heads into this weekend’s NHRA event in Las Vegas with a 36-point lead as he chases his second Funny Car title in his Mopar® Express Lane Dodge Charger R/T for Don Schumacher Racing. The 2011 Funny Car champion has won three times this season, including in the most recent event at Maple Grove Raceway in Pennsylvania on October 5. That victory was his second of the six-race Countdown to the Championship playoffs. In Pro Stock, 2012 champion Allen Johnson is fifth in points with two races remaining, still within striking distance as he also battles for his second title. Following the event in Las Vegas, the season concludes November 13–16 in Pomona, California.
